Legacy Savings Club

The Legacy Savings Club was designed to help lifelong renters become first time buyers to promote generational wealth.  The program had two components: a curriculum to improve financial IQ and a savings club to allow grants up to $10,000 to cover all the 'surprise' fees and financial requirements associated with buying a house.

Hive Home

Inspired by Japanese Capsule hotels, the Hive Home Pilot proved that this model can provide sustainable, extremely-low income housing.  The 30% AMI in Pierce County is $533/month.  We provided a home for 12 people at a rate of $433/month for a year -- without outside support!

Homeless Remembrance Day

For the 2022 National Homeless Remembrance Day we made a makeshift memorial of paper tents for all the people who died in homelessness in Pierce County.  After the event, we mounted them on astroturf 'canvases'.  A local deli allowed us to install them as a permanent memorial to those who were lost.

Condo Cottages

The Condo Cottage projects seeks to build 300-400 square foot mini-homes on a small lot and sell them for around $100k.  If a mortgage on $100k is about $750/month a month these house will be available for under 50% AMI with the additional stabilizing benefits of home ownership.
